Preston P. Piggington, an ordinary eight-year-old piglet, is quite different from his refined family. He is a dirty and messy! After discovering his family's frustration with him, he changes his ways and becomes a perfectly cultured pig. But Preston soon learns he is loved just the way he is.

EXCERPT

Preston P. Piggington was just an ordinary pig. He was dirty!

His family, however, was quite different. Preston’s father, mother
and sister were clean pigs. They were perfect in every way. They dressed fashionably, walked gracefully, spoke eloquently and their table manners were the finest.

Preston’s father was well respected in the community as president of
the town’s Piggy Bank. His mother was active in such organizations as the SAPPF (Society Against Pickled Pig’s Feet).

Preston’s family was terribly, terribly bothered by his piggish ways.

His mother often said, “Clean your room immediately, Preston! It
looks like a pigpen!”

His father scolded. “You really must use better manners when you eat,
Preston. Please don’t hog your food.” Father Piggington returned to his tomato rosebud soup.
