Fran Lewis was the caretaker for her beloved mother, Ruth. Yes, there are many nursing homes that claim to care for such patients but deep down we all know awful stories about the average nursing home and how they treat patients like a number.

Ms. Lewis made the choice to care for her mother at home with as much help and advice she could obtain. Her loyalty and devotion to her mother is to be admired by anyone who knew her or heard about her.

In this book, she brings this painful disease to the surface and the issue of elder abuse. She took one step furrher to research the issue over the years and write books to "wake up" people who never heard of this disease or felt it was easier to ignore it and maybe it would go away.....we all know it does not go away.
